Whatever of good you give benefits your
own souls, and you shall only do so seeking the "Face"
of Allah. ( Al-Baqara 2:272)
By
the GRACE and SUPPORT of Allah (swt), we have been building for
the last four years (1999-2003) a distinguished institution for
Islamic studies in the heart of the United States. Our vision is
to fulfill the Qur'anic obligation of teaching, disseminating Islamic
teachings and knowledge making them easily accessible in the classroom
and through the Internet. Our targeted audience includes all Muslims
(particularly new Muslims) who are willing to learn Islam in a moderate,
objective and academic approach.
Non-Muslims are equally welcomed to learn about Islam through this
institution.
By the help of a well-thought out mission, objectives and programs
HUNDREDS of students have been scholastically accommodated and taught
Islamic knowledge. Academic degrees of Associate, Bachelor and Masters
are offered in addition to courses for non-degree seekers of Islamic
knowledge.
IAU made a conscious decision to make our tuition fees not reflective
of actual costs ($50/credit unit) in order that they be affordable
to all.
IAU planned from the very beginning to offer full and partial scholarships
for distinguished and qualified students. In the academic year 2002-2003,
seven American Muslim students were sent to Egypt for six months
to take intensive courses in Arabic language and Qur’anic Tajweed
and memorization, which cost IAU nearly $32,000.00. Such ambitious
objectives and programs require committed Muslims’ generous and
continuous financial as well as literary support.
IAU, in fact, has an ambitious plan to reach within a reasonable
period, resources for self-sufficiency through several endowment
and donation projects (Waqf). By their nature, these contributions
become “Sadaqah Jariah” (ever-rewarding charity) in Islamic terminology.
The achievement of such plan will enable IAU concentrate on the
Islamic and academic tasks, thus offering better service to the
Muslims and non-Muslims in America.
So, we request your partnership in IAU and your financial contribution,
for the sake of Allah, so together, we can reach more goals and
serve Islam, Allah’s Message of Guidance, Mercy and Peace for the
benefit of all.

To reach "Self-Sufficient" status we need to set
aside in the WAQF enough investment to yield a return a
$1 Million dollars a year. Establishing a steady income
with a safe low-risk investment is a top priority of the
University. Currently, a $500,000 apartment building returns
$40,000/year. Ultimately We need $15 million over 15 years.
Goal: 1 Million Dollars
